FaMiLy plAnNiNg !

wawawa family planning??? yeah...u know what is family planning? why do we need to plan?? opps before that, why is suddenly i write about this topic is because im the person who do the seminar on family planning. =) it such an interesting topic to talk about. and every women are required to at least have an idea on what types of contraceptives methods do they have and which one is the best for their conditions. then for further details or any doubt, you can ask any doctor especially the O&G specialist or doctor in primary care/health clinic.
"Family planning allows individuals and couples to anticipate and attain their desired number of children and the spacing and timing of their births" -WHO

why do they need spacing?? each women are encourage to have at least 2 years spacing for each child to prevent anaemia and also for them to focus on the growing baby.

generally speaking, contraceptives method can be divided into

  1. natural : calendar method, cervical mucus method, basal body temperature, coitus interruptus
  2. barrier : condom, diaphragm, cervical cap, spermicides
  3. hormonal : COCP, POP, Injection, implant
  4. IUCD
  5. sterilization ( permanent method ): vasectomy and female sterilization

if u ask me which one is the best??? according to pearl index (defined as the number of unintended pregnancies per hundred women per year) :

oral contraceptives has the lowest pearl index which means the effectiveness of it is very good. many people like using the pills compared to other methods.

okeyla layan jela picture2 kat bawah ni..some of the contraceptives methods...huuuu malas nak tulis dah
